Wilfred Stijger has been involved with sand sculpture since 1989. As a solo artist or with a team (usually Edith Van de Wetering}, he has participated in local, national and international sand sculpture events. His sand sculptures have received many awards from the various competitions and symposiums he has entered.
Wilfred and Edith also have created sculptures for many private and public commissions. Whether it is sand sculpture competitions, symposiums or commissions Wilfred Stijger always devotes all his creative energy to each project. The below gallery show some examples of his work:
